Co-Op Testing is a resource to provide developers the playtesters they may need for their own projects, while everyone involved also supports each other as playtesters.

Please note – The Pawn and Pint charges $5/person to play games, which gains you access to not only to our games but also their vast library of board and card games. It’s free if you’d like to simply observe and chat, we love talking games!

Info for Developers

Be sure to bring everything you’ll need to playtest your game! That includes your game, rules, laptops, controllers, power cables, dice, and playtest questions.

Please plan on sticking around throughout the entire event. Since this is a cooperative playtest, we want everyone to have the same opportunity to playtest their game with all the other developers and playtesters.

If you’re interested in playtesting in a less structured environment, then our Game Previews event is for you!

Event Timeframe

Co-Op Testing is structured according to the number of developers who attend, and is designed to give each developer enough time to play their game and gain feedback after playing.

We recommend for each developer to plan on spending about 15-30 minutes of their allotted time to ask their playtesters questions about the game.

If there are three or more developers we will do Focused Testing, where you test either a few mechanics, an individual system, or some early concept you need feedback on. This is to ensure everyone has a chance to get feedback during a more limited testing time.

  • 2 developers: hour and a half each (6:30p – 9:30pm)
  • 3 developers: 1 hour and 15 minutes each (6:30pm – 11:00pm)
  • 4 developers: 1 hour each (6:30pm – 10:30pm)
  • 5 developers: 45 minutes each (6:30pm – 10:15pm)
